<p>Begur is situated inland some 700 ft above sea level, and enjoys a superb view
over the whole coastline out over the Medas Islands and inland to Pals.</p>
<p>The village of Begur has recently become a major tourist centre with a wonderful
selection of cafés and restaurant hidden amongst the narrow streets of
the village.</p>

build on the ruins of the fortress destroyed in 1465 is an opportunity that
should not be missed.</p>
<p>Begur is now the centre for night entertainment.</p>
<p>The beaches of Sa Tuna, Sa Riera and Aiguablava are a short drive away. The
Cape of Begur on which all these beaches are situated consists of an immense
geological mass, dropping down to the sea in vertical cliffs.</p>
